best type of screw for mdf subwoofer application

went to the hardware store today to pickup a small box of wood screws and then noticed they also had particle board screws. are these any better or is there someelse that is preferred? thanks.

most ppl use drywall screws.. I like the 3" long #8 variety.

Do not use drywall screws for subs.

You'll snap the heads off in a hurry.

Either buy the green deck screws or brown floor screws.

3" long?? they shouldn't be going right through the MDF should they?

any #6 or #8 wood screw 3/4 to 1" long. enuf said
