Ok list the best piece of equipment you ever bought and the worse piece you ever bought for the money and tell us why.
the worse thing I ever bought was a five channel alpine amp (MRV-352 I think) it was the silver alpine amps befor the digital ones and the black ones. I was new to the car audio seen and the sales buy said the amp would easily push the pair of JL10WOs had. Did not push them worth a damn.
Best thing I ever bought was my alternator at the time I had a pair og the PG ti amps and they kept shutting of because the battery droppeed below 9.6 volts. After the alt I could burp thee sub and the battery oltage hardly fluxuated. That and the battery voltage was at 14.4 volts where as befor the alt it was only 12.x

I've been really pleased with my Xtant 603X.. Got it for around $400 CDN with a new chrome cover. Probably one of the best purchases I've made.
Other great purchases over the last year or so:
Alpine 7894
Nakamichi CD400
IDQ10 and IDQ15
Worst was probably a sony Xplod deck a couple years ago. It Xploded

well the worst I'd have to say was my alpine cda 7878 .............beautiful deck, awsome features.............but the POS always kept overheating, then it would say hi-temp even when stone cold then it wouldn't eject cd's
sent it in twice on warrenty to be fixed ........when it broke the 3rd time I just fired it in the shed where it still sits ............. you pay a grand for a deck you expect it to last more than a year and a 1/2
best ....... well I love my rubi's.. good solid amps never give me a problem and never thermal out even on those long 8hr+ road trips

best and the worst?? hmmm... i think some of the best things i ever bought were the worst purchases i could have made, sound stream tarantula... beauty amp. too much $$ hmmm eclipse titanium subs, great spl, small box, toooooo hungry (the reason for the tarantula amp!) my qpc mobile car computer... fun. but really dumb. lol my rf symmetry, never processed worth a damn, but a really cool toy, the pioneer p9 which now sits in toms car, never even got it to run in mine. my first and second av systems, i think i have owned every generation of pioneer screen. my jl 13w7, thats one loud **** of a sub, but again... VERY HUNGRY, lol my DLS amps, bought to power the sub, shoulda gone more effecient. all the mb quart speakers i have purchased, like 5 component sets later and im now using pioneers... go figure! the worst part is i couldnt be happier with the pioneers either!! lest we not forget my ppi amps, which i sold to tom, bought back from tom sold to some one else, then sold back to tom what ever i had left, then finally my brother ended up buying them and more back from tom, lol jeez, ask tom he has seen all this equipment! lol he tried to fit it all in my old maxima!
i think the worst purchase i ever made are the screens in my headrests, i never use them, and feel like a show off everytime i turn them on, the best purchase... definatly my pioneer premier speakers, or maybe the xbox which is in peices all over my car, i know i didnt get jipped on that one!

worst was a 240watt pyramid amp 3 yrs ago when i first got into car audio(I was 12 yrs. old) the best would have to be the stuff i have now and among a lot of other products i have owned in the past year [img]smile.gif[/img] (and not those 12" thumps in a wall!!
