Northern, I'm not here to sell anything. I give advice & help when it's asked for, nothing more, nothing less. If you had read the post, bensta asked for input on the Alpine versus the Pioneer (which I gave).

If you also had read my reply, I even suggested that he keep his Alpine if it was relatively new (which it turned out to be).

Bensta, posts on this forum are just words. Go see your local retailers that you trust & speak with them about your questions. The bottom line is that it's your system & you should go with what you prefer, not what is talked about on this board because someone says their product is "good".

And yet.....no one has considered the single most important factor...... it's all about the box. While I come armed with many devices called subs to retail to my customers, it is all for naught if the customer is not willing to or able to change the box. bensta, if you want a noticeable change in output, the first thing to consider is a new sub box for the sub that you are looking at putting into it. Otherwise the output and sound of the sub is going to be dictated by the box you have, will it be good or will it be bad.....good question, my crystal ball is not working today so I can't answer that for you. The next thing to consider is the amp that it will be hooked up to. To many things left unanswered before a sub can be chosen.

And Rob, isn't your post above a little of "the pot calling the kettle black"?

If you go with any other rather than Eclipse at least make sure they have at least a 3 year warranty if you get any of them installed by an athorizied dealer. And allways check which one of these brands if any have no refurbished head units.
This board is go give help & advice to those who need it. I do what I can to help those who ask about things that I'm knowledgeable in. If that offends some of you, I'm sorry you feel that way. </font>
No pioneer guy I just state facts! Dont get Jealous now.

Nice call MR2NR (I can't say Rob because there's another Rob posting on this thread)

That's kind of what I was trying to say in my last post (just in a round-a-bout way).
