big box and DD

Hey guys, a buddy of mine wants to put two 15 inch DD subs in a 10cubic foot ported box. Any suggestions on the specific model, that will perform best in this size box. He wants it tuned to 28 hz, and cost isn't an issue. Once he knows which model, then he will get the right amp etc...He's looking for great SQ and killer deep bass, so he wants to know if the 3500, 9500, etc... which one will sound the best? TIA

3515G

8 cubes @ 30hz

Actually, he should do the upgrade into the 9500 series right now as DD has run out of steel for the 3500 series...... monster upgrade in subs and a big time savings as well.

There is also a combined purchase deal when you buy the sub there are great deals on amps as well. Do the 9515 is what I recommend, then add a big amp to match.

thanks guys, I'll let him know...are the prices similar for the 3500 and 9500 now that they have a shortage of metal? He's thinking about a 6000 watt JBL GTI amp to power them...I think those 9500's should be able to handle it. All I know is that H3 should pound!!!!

your friend should do more research cuz right now that sounds like a huge waste of money.

better idea would be to get three nice 10's or 12's, put them in a 6 cuft box and tune to 35hz. and about 6k in amp power.

there is no such thing as 3515G. the latest model of 3500 series is E. That's a long way to G.

No way in hell I would go to that JBL amp, especially with a deal on the DD Z2, Yuli, the 9500 series are actually not that bad right now due to the price decrease. The steel situation has been resolved now so the 3500 series production run is up again. The deal on the 9500 series is now or never.
