Have any of you used a biscuit jointer to build an enclosure? I'm not sure if the weak "end grain" of the MDF would split from the biscuit expanding.

I guess if you stay in far enough from the edges it should be alright...I don't know, what are your experiences?

i use them for building boxes.they will not split your wood.it puts the grove right in the middle of the wood.all your pannles will line up perfectly. and will be a very strong bond.

there are bit you can buy for a router that will do the same thing but i have never used one and they are probly expencive.

Good to hear. I use one all the time for making cabinets etc...for some reason I never thought of using it for an enclosure before.

Thanks.
