Blew 'em up, need new ones, but wich ones??

Hi everybody, I'm in need of some advice. I Finally blew up my 5 year old 12" Fosgate HE2's and now I need replacements. I'm running a Memphis ST1000D at a 1 ohm load. I looked at the new Fosgate T1's, but $400.00 a piece is a little steep for me right now. Is there any other subs out there that will sound as good (or better) the the HE2's, and put a 1 ohm load on the amp for less than $400.00 each?? btw, the sub box is ported and I think has about 4.5 cubic feet per sub, and is tuned to about 33Hz.

Thanks
Shawn

You can use Clarion PXW1252 1000WPeak/500Wrms www.clarioncanada.com or Powerbass L12D www.powerbassusa.com Both are around $200 each.

4.5 feet PER sub? Thats pretty hefty for a 12"

Oh crap.....just noticed he said 4.5 per sub. What do you drive? A winabago? Im not sure if you know how to calculate the volume. (Not being a smartass here) Width x Height x depth internal measurments divided by 1728. Will give you Cbft. Sorry just not sure if you knew. 4.5 is hugh per sub. Could you have meant for both?

No, it's around 4.5 per sub. The box is in the bed of a dakota and the cab is cut through with accordian boot for a seal. The sub box easily takes 1/3 or better of the entire truck box. It's huge. My installer did a thread on here about the build with some pics. I'll see if I can find it.

That's a big box. Personally I would try to revise it to either make it smaller, or make it accept 2 15s, or make it accept 4 12s.

You will be hard pressed to find a modern car 12" that works well in that big a box.
