blown speakers, time to upgrade.

Hello all, im new to the forum and anxious to do some searching around and see what type of cool systems everyone is running. That being said i got a question about my own system now. I have an 06 silverado extended cab with JL 6.5" c2's up front and the tr 400 in the back door panels. I guess the 4"speakers where a direct replacement for the factory speaker. the front 2 speakers are running off a JL jx360/2 amp and back were running off the head unit. well this past weekend the 4" speaker blew. I was plenty happy with how everything sounded before but i know i could get it louder.. MY question is would it be worth it to cut the door out and replace them with a larger speaker and then add a 4 channel amp. will it get much louder/clearer
I was thinking either JL C2 5.25" or the C2 5x7" and then adding the
jx400/4d amp. Any help or experience would be greatly appreciated.

I would look at the Hybrid Audio Technologies (HAT) speakers, they are about the best out there. Their a little pricey, but they sound tremendous
