boston acoustics rc420 components and new amp question
 

had these in the car about a year 4 inch components, sound great but really underpowered as they are just running off the deck

recommended power is 20 to 180 watts rms

been looking at two amps that i can pick up for cheap
a new clarion amp that does 60x2 at 4 ohms
and a pioneer that does 120x2 at 4 ohms

the clarion is $90 and the pioneer $110

will i see much difference from 60 rms to 120 rms, i love the sound now at just 18 rms off the deck

I would pickup the Pioneer amp.

I have RC420 crossovers if anyone needs them.

Ditto.....I would add tho that with that much power on tap you will need to be careful with the HP filter on the amp.....much below 100hz and you may smoke 'em at higher volume......:smokin:
