box help? specs seem whack
 
the spec sheet for a old earthquake 12magma calls for tuning of 52hz
is that kind high. ??

the box is going into a 4door 01explorer so i was thinking tuning it to like 35
(daily driver) only have 500 rms for it
i like it sq and boom
have any of you guys use this sub? anythoughts would be great

Hmmm, I didn't see anything on that site suggesting a 52hz tuning frequency....is that what you get from the dims on that ported diagram?

I still don't understand why they would have you build a box, tune it with a passive radiator and then put it 180 degrees away from the driver.....:dunno:

Looks a little odd to me.....

when i fig out box in the pic ( bass head) it seems that its aprox 52 hrz
is that not too high?
i dont get it
i think im going to go with a box 2 ft3 ported at 35hz
or just a sealed 1ft3 box
