budget, stealth, SQ system
I'm looking to put together a modest system in my impreza wagon. i am running a Kenwood KDC-X993 HU (for good SQ and bluetooth capabilities, triple 5V pre-outs). I will be running stock speakers in rear door off deck power (speakers are 4" in horrible location; could/should eliminate them all together but i like a little fill) the fronts will be PPI 356CS components in the sealed and deadened doors. I have yet to decide on a sub but likely go with JL 10W3 either in a spare tire sub box that i will fabricate or in an audio integrations custom box that a fellow board member has in the classified section but i can't post in his add or PM him until i have 10 posts.
Looking for amp suggestion to run this set-up. Looking for decent SQ and sufficient volume to hear music with windows down at highway speeds. I want to mount the amp(s) under the front seat(s) to keep them hidden and given the cabin air space I shouldn't need huge power to drive the 10" sub in a small enclosure. Thinking possibly a PDX-5, or something in the soundstream stealth line, etc.
Let me know what you think of the system so far and what amp(s) you would recommend.
Thanks - sorry for the length of the post.

Arc KS series amps aren't really big and they sound great for the price. I used to drive my midbass speakers with a Soundstream Tarantula TRA800.2 (2 X 400W @ 2ohms) and I when I sold it to get my first arc amp, (KS300.4), I expected a huge drop from lack of power. I ran tweeters on one pair of channels (2 X 90W @ 4ohms) and the midbass on the other two (2 X 175W @ 2ohms).
As expected, the sound was very different. Much MUCH tighter midbass, couldn't tell any difference in output even though the speakers were getting less than half the power. I was really impressed.
