Budget system - thoughts?

Have you shopped around locally yet? I know of at least one independent Pioneer/Premier dealer in your area that offers excellent service and very competitive pricing. They probably won't be as cheap as eBay, but you'll get the benefit of a usable 2-year warranty. Plus you might even get some free installation tips for your particular vehicle.
Personally I think that Audiobahn sub is a waste of money, but then again you're not going to find much else at that price point. If you do buy it, just be prepared to be wanting an upgrade or your trunk space back pretty soon. I would budget a bare minimum of $350 for an entry-level sub setup, including enclosure, amp, and a proper wiring kit.
Good luck.

i agree with shopping locally theres alot extra you get for that price, like if something were to go wrong you have help with it, if something breaks you arent stuck with out for weeks at a time also you'll be able to demo products and the people in store will work with you to help you fulfill your needs while trying to stay in your budget. and yes $350 is pretty much bare minimum to get set up with usable bass and that doesnt include installation.

THANKS everyone for their input, tomorrow I will call some of the licensed Pioneer Premier dealers in my area.
For installs does anyone recommend Best Buy or Future shop for installs because I have heard bad things from a friend, like them basically destroying a big part of the car and not being liable to fix it.

As always, thanks to everyone for the input
Ok so I went to a local car audio place and confirmed that my front speakers are 6 1/2". My questions are:
1. What is the difference between a 3-way and 4-way speaker?
2. Will my head unit be able to run these 35 RMS speakers fine since it gives out 22W x 4 = 88?
3. The sub I am choosing is the self powered Kenwood KSC-WD250, will this just plug straight into my head unit?
Thanks,
Charles
