how would you order the importance your stereo equipment, what would you spend More money on and where would you Save money?

Toss the rear speakers to the wind, (ie 6x9's) that's a couple hundred dollars you don't need to spend. Get the best set of front speakers you can, and that doesn't mean find the most expensive set just the ones you enjoy listening to the most. Next most important thing would be the amplifier for those front speakers. Then the head unit, followed by the sub amp and finally the sub. The interconnects will depend mainly on how much noise your getting from outside sources. But a middle of the road set of interconnects and speaker wire should do fine. I put the sub last, but I should mention that a well made sub box should be pretty high on the list. A good sounding sub will round out a system well, but you can do alot with a cheap sub, a decent amp and a well made box.

You should also note that proper power and ground wiring is VERY important. I'm sure you can find a how to on "the big three" on here, if not take a look at the14volt.com. This alone can do wonders for a system. ...one thing that most of the big three write ups miss is up grading the power and ground to the head unit. Maybe it's not as important in some cars, but all of the installs I've done have sounded much better after the addition of 12 ga power and ground wires for the head unit.

1) Front speakers

2) Head Unit - pick one that does what you're going to need it to do, nothing more.

3) Amps - again, don't get too fancy, get something that does the power you need at the impedance you need.

4) sub/box - have a nice box built to the specs of the sub you choose

5) wiring - suitable gauge for the application - don't fall for marketing hype.

I do find a big difference in the sound between amps, some disagree, but if you have the oppertunity to do a side by side comparison it's worth taking the time.
