Build Quality of Kicker 08S15 L74 ?

Guys i need to know if i can rely on Kicker subs because someone told me there build quality is crap n they blow out ?

Btw i will be pushing them to the fullest ,

Any ideas ?

I thought you got a JL W7?

Kicker subs are great, L7 15 will take a ZX1000.1 ALL DAY in the RIGHT BOX. About 4cf tuned @ 37hz, with the subsonic turned on.

do u think for SPL the JL's would do better or Kickers cuz my cuzin wants Kickers and he does not know anything about car audio , any ideas > ?

For SPL Kicker would be better, but I would suggest the SOLO X 12".
I did a 146.7db with one 12" L7 with about 2k rms, took it no problem.

How many should the alternator be for 2 Kicker L74 and 2000 rms kicker amp ?

A good batt like a Odassey 1700 and a 150 amp alternator would be fine along with the right wire.

The build quality is awesome... I've thrown WAY over rated power to some L7's and have had a lot of success...

Hell... I've TRIED to blow them and wasn't able to... an excellent choice for sure.

btw... putting the W7 and L7 in the same conversation for SPL is just silly ;)

right now my car has 120 amp alternator , will that do or will it help be putting separate battery ?

So for SPL how loud can 2 kickers get when maxed and are receiving 2000 watts RMS of power from a Kicker amp ? Like how noticeable is the SPL ?

right now my car has 120 amp alternator , will that do or will it help be putting separate battery ?

"how noticeable is the spl" is a REALLY subjective question. To some people the sound level will cause nausea... to others they'll say it's not nearly enough. It just depends on who you ask and what their past experience is with systems.

For the average person though, it should be more than enough!

as for the battery... what type/size do you have under the hood right now?
