Building System: Few Questions
Hey guys. In the process of building a system for my 07 Silverado RCSB. Here is what ive compiled so far:
Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT: Pre-Ordered
Alpine PDX-5 Amplifier
Rockford RFK4 4 Guage Install Kit
Monster 302 XLN 16 Guage Speaker Cable
What im thinking of for the rest:
6.5" Rockford Fosgate T2652-S Components
4 x 6 Infinity Kappa 462.9cfp Components
Monster MPC I306 6 Channel RCA's
Im open to suggestions on 6.5" Components, i dont want to spend a ton but want a good quality set. Also considering Alpine Type R or X Components. Im no audiophile but want a clean setup. I also want to do an 8" sub. At this point i really dont have any ideas. Something that can handle 300W Rms is in the cards. Im obviously looking for something in the SQ department. The whole interior of the truck will be dynamated.
Thanks for any help guys.
Steve

speakers are purely personal preference...listen to as many as you can before you make up your mind. Try to keep the same brand/model for the speakers as they are tonally similar and will compliment each other better. Depending on how much bass you like, you may want to look at a larger sub, 10 or 12, will deliver excellent bass and enough of it to get plenty loud for music (nothing wrong with 8" subs, but these days many 10 and 12" subs work well in similar box volume as 8", and are shallow enough to fit tight locations). Get the best (to you) sounding set you can afford for the front, and then get rears.
