Buliding A Dream System Need Some Advice

i had a good friend of mine tell me about his dream system and ever sence then I have wanted to hear this marvel in person but never happened for him. so I have a new car and some money and I want to hear this... but before I go dropping all this money I want to be sure im on the right path and that it is a marvel and not just some bs someone sold me on..

he told me he was going to take three 15" subwoofers and wire them together to make them run at 1ohm and get a 1 ohm compatible amp and that, that setup is the best setup for performance and sound quality...
is this true and would it be wired parallel or the other way?
and I wanted to do it with 2 15's and I wanted to try and push 1000 to 1200 watts rms per speaker. do you think that would be a great setup and do u think I could evan fit the enclosure for two 15's in the trunk of a 2001 Pontiac grand am se 4dr? but a box I can remove if need not built into the trunk permanently.

any and all advice is appreciated thank you

I think you gonna get more SPL then SQ with this 2x15 in the trunk idea... unless you get really expensive sq 15s, but i don't know any other than focal that makes those, and sound deaden the entire trunk end even then those 15s will easily overwhelm the front stage unless you already have a really nice loud mids ... sq wise i would recommend 10's and selling the saloon for a hot hatch

Where's the rest of the dream system? All you talked about was using big subwoofers.

Seems like you just want a lot of bass hehe :p

^ yeah... I think this belongs in General rather than SQ..

what else does a dream car audio system have a led screen that shows a light wave to ur sound? I mean besides quality equipment and a quality setup. What else is there?

Why 15"s ?

Bigger is not always better.

Adding subs does not an audio system make IMO.

Some of us actually get excited about things like speakers that don't just play bass, signal processing, receiver, installation.

Generally speaking it is a way of upgrading all the components to end up with something that sounds balanced and not just one that augments only one part of the whole.

Not that there is anything wrong with a lot of bass of course.

I have a set of home ones and sound pretty Damn good. Plus I don't want to be just another dude with a set of 10s or 12s. I want something u don't see everyday, and also i want something that will outperform the competition. A set of 15s hooked down to 1 oh while pushing 1000 to 1200 watts rms a piece Is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking at but I do want it to sound top notch in quality and balanced. But without dropping like 5k ok. I'm looking more around 1,500 to 2000. What do u guys think of the brand kicker? I bought a kenwood deck was going to go all kenwood speakers but they don't have a 15 that puts out what I want. So found a kicker.. thoughts????

spl??? Just want a great setup but not one seen and heard everyday by every John doe with a system. What would or could I do to take this setup and make it have the quality and performance I'm looking for without dropping 5k? All advice is helpful
