Bunch of newbie questions : caps, SPL, SQ

alright so ive got a few newbie questions for you. Right now ive got a little truck, extended cab, that i've put a system into. Im running a sound stream michaelangelo series amp (700 watts rms at 2 ohms), with a 12" alpine type R in a vented box. The box is roughly 2.5 cubic feet. For speakers im running two soundstream 6.5"s in my doors, and two rockford 6x9s in the back. Here are a few questions.

1. I know most people dont need caps, but do you think i should run one ?

2. Whats a good way to make my alternator have a happier life when im bumpin tunes ? will a cap affect it ?

3. Where can i go in vancouver area to measure my SPL ? My system is the loudest single sub system i've ever heard, so i think itll hit pretty loud (obviously its nowhere near as good as lots of the SPL guys on here, but loud for one 12 !)

4. My amp has all kinds of fancy knobs and dials. I want my system to be loud (it is !), but my SQ is suffering, how should i adjust my gain and xover ?

5. Will throwing in two more 4" speakers improve my SQ at all ? Ive got an old little sony amp i could use as a speaker amp, will it make a notable difference in my SQ ? Where should i mount my 4" speakers ? Thanks :smilie_da
