Hey i was just installing my subs back into my sub box and noticed that the speaker wire where it connects to the sub terminal looked kinda burnt. Well its copper speaker wire and it looked black. It wasnt the whole peice but the other wires that go into the other sub were normal. Also the subs were working fine. Is this burnt speaker wire usually a sign of anything?

Any chemical residue (from your fingers even) or moisture is an accelerant... copper has a lot of free electrons and wants to chemically go to a state of rest (thus it oxidizes easily)
