C.S.P.L or DB Drag

I attended the DB Drag show today and I was very happy to see everyone was having a good time. That was a really good turn out and it looked like everything ran smooth. I am posting this to ask you the competitors what you want in your season of shows. Please respond to the post and answer the poll.

Well Rich, personally I like the rules a lil better of db drag, but I honestly like CSPL alot more, (and there is no poll). If the wrms was raised to 1500wrms, (alot more kinds of amps in this range) and stick with the same rules, I think you would be better off running CSPL like last year. but this is my 0.02

For the most part it ran smoothly ;)

Anybody got a link to last years CSPL rules?

C.S.P.L Rules

The rules are straight forward.

class 1 1500 watts and under - 1 12" or 2 10"

class 2 1500 watts and under - 2 12" or 1 15"

class 3 1501 watts and over - all speaker sizes

class 4 Pro open
All those that have competed at or qualified for a world finals. Also any store owner or staff member or industry member will be asked to compete in the pro open class.

All installs that are over the window line will be placed in class 3.

All amps rated at the lowest impedance and their rms rating at that impedance.

You may use any type of music on a store bought disk. No Test tones.

All vehicles must be driven to the show and be true daily drivers.

Head Judge reserves the right to make a final decision on any issues that may arise during an event.

Let's have fun

Now those rules are straight forward and awsome. Well done....well except for the store owner thing. :) Just wondering why we can't not compete in the lower classes. We have the same equipment available to us as does anyone. I dont want to do an all out system. The rules limit us just as anyone.

Store owners can enter class 4 or DB Drag classes.

Brad-S.A. 02-11-2007 08:03 PM

Ya I know but not interested at all as some shops have no budget and some have an endless budget and come in with 15 amps and 30 subs. :( I only use a daily driver and have a basic system. So not really fun running against a $30000 vehicle with a $20000 system. Know what I mean. Basically the guy that wins this class is the one with the most coin.

and your allowed to burp with car running I belive?

NTOXKTD 02-11-2007 08:12 PM

There will be no more need to burp as there is no test tones used anymore in C.S.P.L.
