Can you get peel-n-seal in canada?

Hey guys, ok so Ive been reading around about cheap sound deadeners, and 'Peel-N-Seal' seems to be a winner. Problem is that I cant find it in canada. I found some stuff from 'Resisto', its just a aluminum waterproofing membrane. Its pretty $$ though, compared to the peelnseal. Its $40 for a 8in x 33ft roll. Im just not sure if its the same kind of stuff. its only 40mil thick, so im not sure how that compares to Peel-n-seal, but it says it can be used on "Campers, Mobile homes, and trailers", so im hoping this isn't the kind of stuff that stinks when it gets hot. Also, what is the purpose of the aluminum backing? I found the exact same stuff, only with a red plastic backing instead of aluminum, and it was $15 cheaper. Will this stuff work, or does someone know where I can get the other stuff?

well, if you go on ebay, there is deadener(non asphalt based) for cheap.
Peel n seal is Asphalt based, and some complain of smell, I have never had a problem with it, and I found cheapest was @ rona stores.

if you are going to do asphalt base use a torchdown sbs or app rubber, stays on and has various thicknesses :P

You saw that video by Exo, didn't you?

nope, I saw it on some random forum awhile back. Anyways, after browsing the net for a bit, I found someone else that used this exact product and liked the results. He paired it with some reflectix (also from rona, really cheap), and said the sound deadening was very nice. I think for my needs, this will be fine. Maybe Ill start a thread showing my progress

I used that 8" x 33' stuff to seal off the trunk to cabin in my Marquis. It worked very well, molded well too. It is a little thin, but when you factory some door kits cost as much as $100 a couple layers of this is just as effective.

The marquis is gutted and sitting out in my driveway. I was in and out of it all this past summer and it doesn't smell at all. Even the trunk where it is exposed to the back side of the material.... trunk smelled fine. I'm pretty sure the 8"x33' stuff is made from Butyl rubber though. Not positive. Man it sure sticks well though. :smokin:

Next time I'm in Rona, I'll take a peak as well.
