caps in parallel?
anyone know if I can put these caps (like http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_15446_Absolute+CAP8000.html) in parallel or series with each other or is that a mistake?
note its not car audio related, I don't use this for sound stuff. |
you do realize that the only correct answer is "I dont know"
no application means this is unanswerable ... |
series regulates amperage and parallel regulates voltage. if i remember correctly from college lmao could be wrong.

It scares me to think of what you are trying to do. oh yes.. hello KenW.. how is your pulse generator working? you need to hire an electrical engineer consultant.. before you blow yourself up. BTW.. a 12 volt car battery will provide a hell of a lot of current for much longer period than a capacitor... and cheeper too. And if you do not know how to calculate how long a cap or battery can provide current.. then you should get some help. btw.. you could also simply rectify 120v mains.. and pulse them thru a transistor or other solid state switch. |

you seem to have no clue about electronics... caps in parallel is very basic.

I must be an idiot. I even tried rectifying my 120V mains, I actually used an old UPS. It didn't get me far either. Its my lack of control of the pulse which makes it difficult for me to manage and judge. I like these car audio caps, I think I'll finally get somewhere with them. |

http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/2/Batteries/UtilityPowersportBatteries/PRD~0102050P/Motomaster%2BUtility%2BBattery.jsp I don't even get a spark with that thing. I need a full car battery then for some fireworks right? Yes, I'm dangerous and stupid. |

heres the battery I've been using that only gives me 10Amps when shorted.

let me know when the funiral is lmao. ill make a discovery channel episode on how not to kill yourself and show the final result.
lmao just toying |
Spark...battery...fireworks... and to top it all off I quote "Yes, I'm dangerous and stupid" does anyone else here think maybe we should not be providing advice to this person? Isn't it like aiding and abetting someone to kill themselves.

CCA wants no part of helping this 'tard kill himself, his relatives, his friends, his enemies, small animals or even large animals. Sorry buddy... you need to go to another site to find out what you're looknig for. This isnt' car audio related and you're just looking to hurt yourself. :thumbsdow |
