I'm currently getting a CompuSTAR 2-way alarm (Lumina Guy will like that) installed (right now, actually - the dealer said he would need it for about 3-4 hours), fully integrated with my Jeeps system, with the remote starter (it was a package deal worked out better). Apparently its the newest Compustar model out there (better-than-FM) with really really good 2-way range 6000 ft+ I think, the guy said 1.5 miles but I dunno about that - is that 6000 ft??) plus the guy has been doing installs for 15 years and he has done these CompuSTAR installs with my Jeep (he sells the unit). All said and done, $650.00 installed taxes included - a little more than what I wanted to spend, but at least I'll be able to sleep at night.

I'll follow up with another post once I've have a chance to play with the alarm and familiarize myself with all the features.
which model compustar did you get? they are all fm by the way, including yours.where are you getting it installed?

Cool

Yep, that is the model! Your right about the install: almost 4 hours - apparently the part that takes the longest to install is the auto door locks (integrating the factory stuff) on the Jeep, but he got it all done no problemst this time. I was playing around with the pager/reading the user's guide, and it looks like a pretty good unit (still learning about what it can do). I heard the range is supposed to be impressive, and I can see that he installed a small intenna inside the car and what looks like a sensor on the front lower windshield glass that says "HIT HERE" or something like that (kinda weird, but I think that is for people to use if they want to page me without setting off the alarm????) - the remote starter works well too.

I'm satisfied that this will be a good deterent.

yeah he installed a knock sensor(one that says knock here) in my opinion you should not have had that installed, just a way for people to bother you at malls and stuff.i would have it taken out, not necessary
