Car audio + Computer
So i followed an online tutorial -How to hook up a car subwoofer to your computer or home theater system | eHow.com
To allow someone to connect a sub and car amp up to their computer. These are the supplies im using: Soundstream di 175.1 Pioneer TS-W256C 350 rms sub Antec Earthwatts power supply. My problem is, the sub wont go louder than my dinky little 6" sub that gets 30 watts rms.:dunno: Hope to hear from you! There is a picture of how its wired here: http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o112/unix4owns/IMG_0541.jpg |
probably your power supply is way to small, need as least a 20-30 amp and it could be your x-over is set wrong or the computer might not be sending full bandwidth to the preout section of the amp.

The amp doesnt have a crossover setting :/
full bandwith to the preout? Any solutions? |
On XP its:
Control Panel>sounds & Audio devices>on the volume tab there is a speaker settings section. Click on advanced and set to proper speaker installation. :smilie_da |
Im running vista, but ill do some research into it. On the side of the psu it says 17 amps, that should be enough for 100 watts?
