Hi there

I was wondering if there are any Car Audio Shops in Alberta Canada?

Hope some one can help me out.

Cheers

I know things are grim in Edmonton, but I'm curious what do you think the reasons are?

I don't know why for sure, but car audio shops have been closing regularily of the the past number of years. I'm sure its a combination of reasons, like: Cheap product available online, that is becoming increasingly easier for Canadians to access. The big box stores forcing the smaller competitors out of business. Also, the fact the factory car audio is becoming better in all aspects and increasingly harder to upgrade from. Lastly, the newer big thing in Alberta is to trick out your giant 700HP, soot spewing diesel truck, with goddy bumpers, lift kits, massive tires, rims, exhaust, intakes, performace programmers, etc, etc. With these money burners, car audio is the last thing on a rig-pigs mind. For example, a good friend of mine has a $60,000 truck with $80,000+ in parts/labor/paint and hasn't installed a single mobile electronic component. Also his maintenace costs have easily quadrupled, because 750HP, massive tires and lifts are VERY hard on these trucks.

In my opinion, from an employment standpoint, Certified Radio in Edmonton has always been at the top of the Car Audio food-chain. They carry good product and seem to have a good reputation. They might be a good place to start...

Powersource performance would be another great place to check out. They are an install shop not a retailer. so a sales are out but as an installer if you have the skills.
