Car computer software knowledge needed
Hey,
I need someone with good knowledge of how car computing works. I have an idea to enhance the driving experience well beyond what car companies offer from stock. If you live near Toronto and are that person keep reading. I have been tinkering in my garage creating custom dash experiences and I have come to a point where I would like to integrate what I am doing into the actual car itself. Currently the apparatus I have build sits as an add on feature. I am a marketer by trade and have invested significant energy in how I could package the idea for the mainstream. Right now I am looking to start designing a more robust prototype. In order to do this I need someone with the knowledge of how the car's computer signals can be customized and routed to a destination of my choice. My first question would be: Is UBT2 the standard the coming out of car computers and can that wiring be adapted to plug into many different devices. Second question: Is there a document that exists that maps the standard computing network of say an Audi A4 or similar car? Hope someone out there has similar interests. Cheers. |
