car stereo in my boat

hi everyone. just wondering if anyone has any experiance with running a half descent stereo in their boat. i decided to take my type r's out of my truck and put them in my boat. the only problem is that my boat motor doesent have much of a charging system. it might put out 10 amps at wide open throttle. so i guess my question is how would i power my 1200 watt amp and theese two subs. i could put a couple of deep cycle batteries in there and just chargre them up when i get home every time. or maybee a small generator, but i dont really have the space for that. any ideas??
thanks in advance.

3 4 batts deep cycle if you can fit it and slap on a couple of solar panels to charge while your not using the stereo and ya charge when you get back home or when you get on shore when camping use a charger with a generator or hydro that you have around where you are

If they are the newer R's then they have a paper cone and will be trashed super fast, if they are old then they are poly cone and will be better.

I am also putting a car stereo into my jetboat. I'll be running an Ultimate
T3500D amp and a new Type R 12. My boat has a done up Oldsmobile 455 motor with the stock vehicle alternator. I also have 1 deep cell battery.
Will this be sufficient to keep my amp up and running?

Also what do I do for a ground to my amp? The amp will be up front for obvious reasons. So do I just run a 10 ft power and a 10 ft ground back to my battery?
And can I run the power and ground side by side or is that a no no?

Thanks.
