I recently purchased two of these bad boys. I can't wait to install them in my car. Anyways I have a question. As you can see one has a plug in the top right hand corner and one doesn't. Do I want the plug in or not? It says the plug is for charging. Would this mean it can be used as a car charger when the plug is in? Should the plug be in when used on a car board or in a car?

I use three of APS90's on my test bench.

The plug changes the output voltage. When the plug is in, the output is roughtly 13.8V, when removed it's 12.9 or so..

When on a display board, plug-in.. When in a car, plug-in to charge the battery, removed to keep it floating.

You may want to include a stiffening cap in the system.

I can make you a new plug if you need one... Only a million dollars (or so).. ;-O
