What do you guys reccomend. I have found a few on ebay but none of them look that great.

I dont want to spend an arm and a leg.

Something under $200 or so.

I did a search but can't find much info.

I know Alpine made a decent one back in the day. DEI also made a good one from what I recall. Maybe someone on the board may have one they dont need.

I got one NIB from a guy on this forum for $210 shipped (from BC). It is a 'thor' unit, similar to the pheonix digital units you see on ebay.

So far I am happy with it, and the range is ok for something cheap...

Anyway... Iam sure he has more of them.... his email is daludeman@hotmail.com if you want to contact him... (I figured I saved about $20-30 then if I bought off ebay)

Just dont buy an AM based unit, the range is crap.

you can get a Black Widow BWX5 2-way FM. 3000' range for $248 installed at Visions and for $20 more you can add starter kill & park light flash.

I run the Predator 3901 2way FM. Almost all the same features except the BWX5 also vibrates. Definately a nice feature if your in the bar and can't hear the siren or pager go off.
