Check my setup! Looking for suggestions, 2011 altima
 

Looking to buy a system for a 2011 Nissan Altima. Any feedback would be much appreciated. I'll show some top choices for each one,

but I'm very open to any suggestions, since this is a pretty uneducated guess.

Will 6.5 inch, 8 inch, and 10 inch all fit a 2011 Altima?
Should I get different ones for the front door, back door, and back deck? Or 2 pair for the front/back door, 2 for the back deck?

Radio: No idea as to the difference here, and I'm seeing everything from $70 to $300. I don't need a CD player, and I need an Aux

input. Other than that I have no idea what I'm looking for. I also noticed that some of the radios are about twice as tall as the

others. How does a difference size factor in?

And for installation, I found a few places that said you have to come in to get a good estimate, but a couple places gave me an

estimate on the spot. Best price was about $280. is that good? should it be a red flag if they gave me an estimate knowing nothing but the car make/model?

As it relates to your plan, it seems like you have done your homework. Personally, I purchased a 4-channel amp to drive my speakers, and a 2 channel amp for my 2 subs. If I was going with one sub, then a 1-channel amp would have been fine.
I purchased pioneer speakers, and Polk audio subs. I tried to stay with well known brands, and read lots of reviews before I purchased them. I also checked the measurements of my current speakers, before I ordered replacements. This will save you some headaches later. I also measured my trunk to make sure I had room for my subs, and amplifiers.

The difference in height for the radio is measured in DINS. Single DIN is the smaller size and double DIN is taller. Make sure you find out what DIN your current radio is. If its a single DIN, you can't use the taller Double DIN. However, if its a Double DIN, you can use a single DIN (if you purchased a kit to install single DIN in a Double DIN opening.

Make sure you check the fitment of the Radio/headunit before you purchase it. Many vendors will have a method of letting you know what will fit your opening in the dash.

A reputable dealer who installs car audio as a full time business, are able to give you install prices over the telephone. Best Buy has car audio install prices on their website. This will give you an idea of current market prices for installations. I got estimates from local audio install shops and Best Buy. $280 is not a bad price if they are installing the stereo, amplifier, speakers and sub-woofer. After reading up on the subject, and watching youtube install videos for my specific car, I did the install. I installed all the speakers, amplifiers, and stereo/headunit.
