I built these for a customer and do they ever pound. The top box is 7.5 cu.ft for the trunk of a Grand Marquis and the bottome boxes are his SPL boxes for a no wall application in the back seat. The boxes are 4.9 cu.ft each.

What do you think?

Hmmm my deduction, Watson is that they are MDF speaker boxes with a slot port and trunkliner covering. INDEED THEY ARE! Yep, look like boxes to me

I know I jst got excited. These boxes were wicked in the car. Hopefully we see him in the lanes soon.

pound yes I can see that they will. SPL I dont think thatyou will be very happy with them. AS I doubt that you have enough port area to get full potential.

I agree with the port area but the customer is running a US AMPS 1200 to the pair of 15's. When a customer comes to me and says he wants a loud box still wants it to sound good I have to build it to those requests. The NO-WALL boxes have 60sq inches of port. Any biger he would be compaining that the boxes sound like crap or they are not effecient. I can't please everyone.

I'm not the Kicker rep but when a customer wants a custom bix built I don't ask questions.

Thos bottom ones aren't SPL boxes... PSHH

Narrow the box, move the sub over, lose the carpet, increase the port and use 45's.

Then maybe it'll be called an SPL box.
