Sorry I misinterpreted your reply. I am not sure if they can fit, I will check it out later today. I am pretty sure that I would have to modify the door though. Thanks for recommending the Infinity's though. Are there any other 4" comps that would suit my application if I was willing to spend some more cash? Thanks !

Try putting a word out in the wanted to buy section of this forum. You might find some higher-end (but used) speakers in your price-range.

I don't mind spending some money, I just don't think I really need top of the line speakers, considering I listen mostly to rap; am I wrong here? I just want some decent replacements for the factory, and suggestions as to which brand would best provide this.

The infinity speakers are awesome for the price, but you do have to watch for mounting depth, they are a fairly large 4' speaker. But yes you can pick them up for a hundred and change at any FS, they also come with a one year otc exchange for warranty. So you keep blowen them, they keep replacing them.

Crutchfield is saying the speaker size is 4", however Infinity's site is saying I can use 5.25"! I guess I will have to take off the door and measure myself.....

Well if they will fit 5.25" I can get you a set of Blaupunkt ODC540 Comp set for $100Cdn including shipping and if it's only 4" I can get those Infinity 4012I to you for about $40 less then FS shipped to you. What year is your Avalon?

You could get the JBL P452 they are about $160 Shipped to you.
Here is the link http://www.jbl.com/car/products/prod...=US&region=USA they are about 2" in depth.

or Blaupunkt THX402 $130 shipped. The Blaupunkt's are nice and thin if depth is an issue. They are 1.51" in depth.

You can not go higher in the Infinity line as the next ones up are 2 ohms and they may kill a HU amp.

Thats what I have access to in the higher-end of the spectrum. The rest is lower then that and some of my lines dont even carry 4" maybe some of the other site vendors have other options for ya.

The avalon is a '97. I think Infinity's website says I have about 3 inches of depth, so that is not much of an issue. Thanks for all your help.
