Clarion DB365USB

Im looking to buy a new headunit with USB input and at least 2 pre outs, dosnt need sub control as I have a sub contro that came with one of my amps

I was looking at this CLarion and as I think I would have to order it in Im not set on getting this yet. Anyone know of any other cheap (in around $250) Decks with MP3/WMA USB and 2 preouts. Kenwood also seemed to have some nice ones too

The kenwoods are nice, I agree I was just looking at them.. love the good quality features, 24-bit burr-brown, and usb, good stuff, but just when the decks come into my price range with better preouts, they lose the usb.. .shitty deal for me

I was lookin at that, But I was wondering what really makes a 5v pre out better than a 2v Most clarion are 2v Ive found.
My amp has a switch on the gain that allows you to select the voltage of your deck, so would I really need any more than a 2v preout

In that case, I guess it wouldn't make a big difference, but from reading around, I've found that more people say , the higher the voltage, the less engine noise/static, etc.. you just get a higher quality signal.

Ex. Its easy to make a good signal sound good, but its hardER to make a shitty signal and boost it up to its real quality, thus sounding shitty when boosted.
Thats what i'm guessing. could be wrong

Or, take it like a high quality picture, its nice and clear on high res, but when you shrink it in paint, and try to resize it (2v -gained higher on amp) it just looks depixilated.. distorted slightly.. meh , dunno lol

Ya I would have to agree will Selective on this one. The 365USB is not one of there better products. Why they only came out with USB on a 365 and not higher into the full featured and better HU is beyond me. And Blaupunkt has the new St.Louis or Memphis decks with SD card slots and Ipod ready. If thats any option for you
