Clarion Head Units?

Anyone have any experience with Clarion's 2006 line of head units? I'm thinking of grabbing the DXZ955MC. Comes with a buttload of features, like Dolby Digital. I've heard very good things about the Clarion screens, but not as much, or at all for that matter, about their decks.

Any opinions?

My friend has one of those.
Simply amazing.
The touch screen is a really nice feature too.

i currently run a 955mc, it's a great deck more than i could ask for, the nicest feature is that you can turn off the pre-amp, when competeing, so you don't pop yoru speakers. the touch screen is very good on this deck, i have no complaints at all, if don't mind the cost , it's an amazing deck.

Exclamation

That model was from 2005 so you should be able to get some feedback on it here. You mentioned "Dolby Digital" which is incorrect. Dolby Digital is multi-channel surround & this model does not have that. What it has is Dolby Pro-Logic II which takes a stereo source & "simulates" multi-channel sound. I don't think this feature is that valuable in a CD player so I'd suggest to put this feature way down on your "must have" list.

Thanks for the opinions. And yea, from what I've understood, The Pro-Logic won't work on most music, save for high format music recorder on DVD's (Ehh something to that extent). Basically meant for movies.

Regardless, I have heard it is a good quality deck (in terms of sound), so I will look into it some more.
