Man have you guys seen the new SSS series comps and the new SSW subs by Clarion. And there amps are getting bigger and louder. I was talking to the rep about them but have not got my hands on them yet. Has anyone heard them or seen them in person. Reviews good or bad??

i love the clarion HU's, i had one of thier amps... i think it was a APA 250... i could be wrong with the modle #

There was a nice glowing review about the DPX1200.1 in PASMAG and it actully put out what they claimed. And this year they have moved it up to a 1500W rms amp and for around $649msrp cdn.

tell me the last time u saw a review in PASMAG that said some product did not put out what it claims.........think before u post.

^^are you calling Dave Mackinnon a liar? I think he will have a few things to say about that. I don't know him, but he seems to have quite a bit of respect on here, so I believe if his testing was incorrect others on this board would question it. Maybe I'm wrong...?

Ya I think Dave is a pretty stand up guy and I would imagine that they have all the proper equipment to do testing. I dont think they would have made him the head tech Clarion Canada if he didn't know what he was doing. IMO.

Oh and they was a few amps that didnt make there actully output in the testing in PASMAG and they told us about it. And speaking with the sales rep at PASMAG some of the amp rated very poorly and those articals were never published at the request of the manufacture after viewing the results. Only the better performers make in to print and yes I know you might be saying well thats crap I want to see the crappy ones too. But this just makes the manufactures stand up and take notice. BTW do you think if a company knew that had an over rated amp they would send it in for a review in the hopes no one would notice?? I dont think so.

and yes i know dave personally for a loooooooooooooong time. what u guys see in the magazine is review and only printed if its a win/win situation. dont know if u have ever noticed but there is always the product ad right next to it's positive riew, its like that for a reason......$$$$$. pasmag has never published anything bad because THOSE REVIEWS ARE PAID FOR BY THE MANUFACTURER!!!

U must be joking about over rated stuff? nearly everything is over rated. and yes the stuff gets sent for reviews and guess what?? the reviews come out positive b/c they are paid for!!! how dumb can u be. do u know how much a full page ad costs in PASMAG? And when any manufacturer dish out that sort of money do u think they will get a negative review in the managize they are sponsoring? Ofcourse NOT, thats bad business!! omg a 15 year old knows this. A positive review comes as an advertising package from PASMAG (or many other mags for that matter). Tell me last time u saw a reivew of a product which was not advertised in PAS? Never. u know why? b/c no one will give u free publicity. but when u pay for publicity do u want it to be negative?? exactly.
