Clarion vx400

I recently had a Clarion vx400 installed in my truck. Overall, I love the unit, the only complaint I have is with the Bluetooth phone book. I synchronized my Blackberry phone book with the unit and it created a separate entries for people with more than one phone number. This would be fine if it would show me which number each entry was related to, ie: firstname lastname - mobile, but there doesn't seem to be enough characters displayed. For example, I have work, home and mobile numbers for my wife, but in the phone book, I see 3 entries all labeled "firstname lastna" which makes it impossible to tell which is which. I know the unit will show specific numbers for shorter names, ie: "Home" shows up in the list as "Home - Home". There doesn't seem to be a way to edit entries directly in the unit, so it's a little frustrating.

The other issue I have with the unit has to do with MP3 tags. I put a bunch of MP3 files on a CD and the unit plays them fine; however, it is supposed to be able to read the ID3 tags from the MP3 files and display the song title, artist and album fields on the screen when the track is playing, but so far, all of the tracks show "Unknown" for the Song Title and Album entries. The Artist field shows correctly about 80% of the time.

According to the user manual, the unit is supposed to be able to read ID3 tags v2.4, 2.3, 1.1 and 1.0 with preference given to the 2.3 and 2.4 tags. The tag editor I use on my computer stores both the 2.3 and 1.0 tag versions in the MP3 files.

If I switch to the file/folder browser view, the artist and title are displayed, but in play mode, they don't.

The unit also supports CDText, so I tried burning some of the MP3's as an Audio CD to see if that worked, and the unit does show the track title, artist and album information correctly when the tracks are playing

Is there something special that I need to do to get this working properly with a disc full of MP3 files? Can anyone help?
