Class T Car Amp actual efficiency and pros/cons

Hello all! My preliminary Googling revealed that Class T amps are very efficient, and sound quality is almost on par with Class AB. Sounds to me like a great product. Some user feedback revealed that it's excellent for running a subwoofer, but not as good for mids and highs, as there was report of odd switching noise heard from speakers by very few people.

1. Class D is always rated at around 80%-85% or so, but I have never seen a Class T actual number. What is it?

2. What are the pros and cons? It looks like a great product, but I may be missing some hands on experience, which may prove otherwise. The only two cons I see that Class T is not optimal for mids/highs, and that Tripath(Class T manufacturer) has gone under a while ago.

Your opinions...

I've never messed with a higher powered Tripath, but me and some classmates built some 30 watt class t's in college. The sound was damn good, the dimension and detail was amazing and better than most class AB amps I have heard. I really thought it would sound like crap, but I was impressed.

Class T has the same efficiency as class D, but is better (excellent) at producing higher frequencies. If I remember correctly, I think it has something to do with the pulsewidth varying with the frequency of the audio. Supposedly they also adjust to the impedence of your speakers over time and start sounding better after a while.

In my experience with class T's, they are extremely efficient...just as or more so than class D amps.

In terms of SQ, they make class D's feel crude.

When I used them full range, they sounded great...IMO just as good as most of the class AB's out there...but perhaps a notch or two down from the best class AB's. Also, I didn't hear any odd switching noises.
