i wanna install some cold cathodes in the rear trunk...
all i know is that they have it for computers and they are the molex connectors... does anyone know how to get this to work?? i'm going to have an dc to ac inverter... |
you have the ones for computers? Just hack off the molex and connect it to 12 volts. (remember your fuses!)
|
hum... i'm confused....
i haven't actually bought the cathodes yet... |
I've used cold cathode before, it looks great but it's reliability is suspect, it's not made for a vibrational environment.
|
then what lighting do u recommend?
|
LED!!!!!!!!!!

I use a cold cathode in my install and it works great..
Just wire a fuse in line with the yellow lead off the molex to a +12v source (with key on is nice) and your good to go.. |

the posivite wire goes to a fuse, then from the fuse to the yellow wire. Black wire from the molex goes to ground.
|
how do i connect it to a fuse???
so this is what u mean? positive from light -> fuse -> yellow on molex -> CC negative from light -> ground |
