positive from light -> fuse -> yellow on molex -> CC

negative from light -> ground
I think you've got it there, just like MikeMac said. And you just get a small inline fuse holder from crappy tire or wherever.

If the light is going in the trunk it's nice to have it wired to the trunk light switch instead of messing with the remote. Don't need the light on while the trunk is closed.

</font>[/QUOTE]Although I've never used one, they basically are are distrbution block for a stronger 12v signal to turn on multiple amps, etc. The remote signal turns the relay on. The straight remote line from the hu is only strong enough to turn on 2 maybe 3 amps.

A relay is just an electromagnetic coil that when energized closes contacts. When the voltage is removed from the coil, spring pressure opens the contacts.

Any auto supply store, or elecrical supply store will carry relays. Princess Auto in Whitby has a wide selection of automotive relays.

thx guys... but which setup will be the safest??

i'm leaning towards using the light in the trunk to power the cc's.

so i can just head to home depot or canadian tire and ask for an inline fuse holder?
