If the light is going in the trunk it's nice to have it wired to the trunk light switch instead of messing with the remote. Don't need the light on while the trunk is closed.

where can i find a relay??... what does it do? </font>[/QUOTE]Although I've never used one, they basically are are distrbution block for a stronger 12v signal to turn on multiple amps, etc. The remote signal turns the relay on. The straight remote line from the hu is only strong enough to turn on 2 maybe 3 amps.

A relay is just an electromagnetic coil that when energized closes contacts. When the voltage is removed from the coil, spring pressure opens the contacts.
Any auto supply store, or elecrical supply store will carry relays. Princess Auto in Whitby has a wide selection of automotive relays.
