Hey,

I have a pair of Concept 10" CSE-106 subwoofers I pulled out of my old golf. I'm wanting to put either one or both of them into my new (used) truck, but I'm having a hard time finding any information on them in order to buy or build the right box. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm also torn on the sealed vs ported debate.

They both came out of a ported box being run by an Alpine T707. Would this amp have enough power for these in a sealed box? What about a 12" sub (infinity reference 1250W)?

screw what they say about ported not being tight.... i run the box in my avatar pic, and i listen to cradle of filth, in flames, thrice, rise against, you get the hint and it does just fine and its loud!!!!!!!

and well just get this out of the way right now, its not loud compared to alot on this forum so before you all bombarde me with how 140 isnt loud hahahahaa I ALREADY KNOW!!!! hahahahaha

 

Fair enough. I'm not necessarily going for high SPL, though it's always nice. I'm looking for something fairly unobtrusive that blends well with music and fills the rest of the listening space.

Unfortunatly, the floor under the seats in the rear of my Toyota T100 step up to meet the fold down seats, so I can't put them underneath. That leaves me with 30" across, but I'd rather use as little of that as possible.

I'm debating between using one or both of these concept 10" i have, or buying a cheapish $100 12" sub (Infinity Reference 1250W maybe?)

The critical part of all this is that whatever I choose can be run off the amp I already have (Alpine T707 (V12?)), because I can't afford to replace that piece of equipment at the moment.

Any suggestions?
