custom box? resin?

I want to make some custom boxes... and i've seen it done with cloth and resin to make it hard... then paint it. Anyone know where I can get this resin?

it would be cheaper to buy it from a marine store or something like that than CT.

um i dont know about that , anything labbeld MARINE cost way more , I own a few boats and ive always made my way to walmart /candiantire to grab my stuff, I get the big kits

thanks guys... and what about the 12" hole for my subs? do i have to cut that out? or are there premade ones I can get?

the ports can be made very cheap if they are just made out of PVC pipe and some resin/bondo and maybe even a little flaring, but they usually look pretty rough unless you spend some time on them.

you can buy aero ports but they are kinda pricy for just a short flared pipe. however, they do work very well and look nice. there won't be too much sound difference, but if you want SPL then the aero ports will ensure that the air flow is in line.

Rather than CT or Wal-Mart, you should probably check out Paint Plus. They're an actual automotive body supply shop and will have everything you need under one roof. They're located at 1140 Frances St, but it's probably easier to access their building from Florence.

I would recommend visiting this page.. Fabrication Chris Sandulow does a nice job of explaining everything.. And you want to build mdf rings to hold the 12" subwoofer in place,, he has a write up on that aswell.
