Custom upholstery/wrapping

I'm going to be doing some fiberglass pods and a few interior trim pieces including the headliner in my Honda Odyssey in a dark gray suede. I popped into fabricland and they only have a material called sable suede and it seems a bit too thin.

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on products and/or where to get them. I know there are vinyls that heat form and are a lot more forgiving to work with but I'm not sure if they have something similar in suede.

Also, if anyone has any tips on doing custom upholstery/wrapping that would be much appreciated as this is my first time at it.

Thanks in advance :worshippy

The price on that thin suede at fabricland is a whopping 29$/m as well so I'm hoping I can find something a bit cheaper.

You probably won't find cheaper. Need to be careful too as many 'suedes' are not UV resistant either and fade in the sun. Not a biggie for a headliner but for anything else you may want a true automotive suede. It will be many times that price.

Also, suede generally has ZERO stretch. Imagine wrapping something with denim and you get the idea. I would seriously consider vinyl or another stretch material if you are new to upholstery.
