what is everyone using to get a clean cut on 0 gauge wire.

I used some gardening shears, they worked ok but still a fair amount of work...

I have not dealt with o gauge as of yet, but with my latest and first install I was running 4 gauge as the power and ground lines. I used a set of bolt cutters on the wire and sliced it like a hot knife through butter. :) Thats my suggestion.

canadian tire $20 wire cutters. worked great

a karate chop!! metal shears work pretty good, as do bolt cutters.

Klein Linesmans pliers, or klein cable cutters.

Believe it or not, Princess Auto tube cutters work well. Put slight pressure and turn the thing around the cable much like a copper tube cutter. The cutters look like cheap plastic pliers with razor type blade on them (actually that's what they are - cheap). Costs like 10 bucks or so. Great for cutting vinyl tubes (what they are designed for). Also great for cutting just the jacket on heavy gauge cable. The design helps get it cut straight.

I use and sell simple Quick Cable cutters. They work great, I use them on 2/0 regularly, and will work on everything up to 4/0 and beyond.

I used (honestly) a cleaver to do it, nice and clean but my mom wasn't too happy at the time! When I have to cut heavy gauge wire now I use a curved wire cutter, about $20 at CDN tire as mentioned. I have a Greenlee one and it works well up to 3/0 welding cable.
