Decent Sub
Hey guys just wondering if you can help me. i bought a kicker zx 2500.1 and a zx850.4 now i need a matching sub for this amp. i have 1 kinetic 3800 battery and o gauge wire threw out the car. i want to get some serious bass so im looking for a serious sub. im thinking like a kicker solo x 12 or the orion hcca 12 if anybody knows any other sub that would take this kind of power let me know. it has to be smaller then a 15 and its going in a chrysler 300 trunk space is about 41" length by 21" height and 34" depth so please let me know thanks

I hear good things about Orion's HCCA line.
2- 12" TFOnes would sound better than both them options ...and I'm sure you could save shipping, by meeting up directly with Yuli for Pickup as they are NOT LIGHT!
the dc audio rep lives in brampton as well, have you looked into them at all? a single dc lvl 4 would be pretty good match
Tis true, I forgot about that, lol.
but wouldnt that be under rated 1000 rms when the amp is pushing 2500rms or should i put 2?
or go with one lvl 5 or the carnage one from dc?
I'd go with a pair. More cone area = better results. For the price of a solo X you could almost buy 2 TFOnes or Level 4's. Once you factor shipping and all that... you can find better deals than your original choices that WILL out perform them and sound better doing it.
i found a solo x 12 for 500 bux i just called dc audio and they want 500 each? for that i can get 2 12 solox's and i cant find a website for tf one does anybody have one
They are about $450. Where are you finding a solo X for $500? Even then, I don't recommend them for daily. Square waves don't sound the best... imo.
talk to the user pyschoacoustics canada on the boards here, he is the rep, and maybe he can work something out for you, also the 1000wrms rating is under rated big time,
also if oyur stuck on the solo x's, Jordy has a pair of 10's for sale on here,

well i have 2 12 L5 but thier not that loud i need something louder
An Fi BTL or a sundown nightshade would work aswell and with some options both can take that 2500 all day theres a used 15 i think for sale for just over 3 bills in the classifieds
http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/onli...ers-360-a.htmleven has a box that will fit with your measurments.
ya but will this give me the monster bass im after?
BTL's are no slump either.
well im really thing about going 2 12 level 4 xl's from dc audio would that be louder then 1 fi btl 15 and if so will it be a major difference just because if its not that much then id rather go with the btl for 360 compared to 1000$ big price difference what do you people think
um, go for the btl...i hear the guy selling it is a good dude...
Tfones ava. Hrmmmmm. Good to know.
you can try a pair of focal 33k polykevlars? I'm selling a pair now, they were in my truck hooked up to an Xtant X1001 i think they can handle 800 a piece and they are awesome btw 13" each. yes i know, weird size lol
TREO SSX 15 and 18 are good for 2500 watts RMS. 12's do 2000 RMS, but I've seen them with a lot more.
hes got space issues in teh car, 18's are for sure impossible, 15's are going to be a stretch depending on how small the box can be according to manufacturer specs but perhaps the 12's might work for him
"....space is about 41" length by 21" height and 34" depth so please let me know thanks."
ahhh, am i missing something here, space seems the least of his issues...that's almost 14 cubes....more than enough for even 2 18's if you really wanted it. |
