Deck Choices for classic Cadillac. 8813

First off. Don't bother asking me what kind of sub I'm going to be using. There is no sub. Haha. Anyways. Looking for a deck that doesn't look like a bloody christmas tree. I want a nice clean cut, high quality deck. Of course, I know nothing in the realms of car audio... That's why I'm here. (Now home audio that's a different story).

My Caddi has a velvet blue interior, with a woodgrain bezel. If any of you have been in an 80's fleetwood, you know what I'm talking about. Anyways. I'm looking for a classy deck.

This mac, sells for almost as much as I paid for my car. As much as i'd like to get it, i want to see what else is out there.

Patiently awaiting your replies,

DaCarlson

Also, using Boston Accustic 6x9's and 4x6's for front and rear. Quality is a must.

DaCarlson,
It may be hard to find a deck that doesn't light up like a Christmas tree.

My first question is, does your definition of "classy" include the word "modern"?

This Clarion deck looks classy, to me at least. Its a very subjective thing.:)

I'm of no help.

That isn't to shabby. I'd really like it if i could swap out the red led's to blue. I like the black one in particular. I'd prefer a more simplistic looking deck. After all my car is 27 years old.

Thanks for the prompt reply and suggestion.

DENON-CD-Player

This is still expensive since you need an amp...

Dont give up

DaCarlson 02-11-2009 10:19 PM

I have an amp. Just a lousy deck.

Can you accomodate a double din?

Panasonic-CQ-TX5500W-Vacuum-Tube-CD-Player

or

PANASONIC-CQ-VX5500D

DaCarlson 02-11-2009 10:26 PM

Nope. But a tube deck? now thats cool. :smokin: I really like the second one. The tube, sorta looks out of place.

Nakamichi CD400 Recent but not too flashy

DaCarlson 02-11-2009 10:33 PM

I'm open to anything, old or new, I just want quality in design and performance.

lpchouinard 02-11-2009 10:42 PM

The Pioneer DEH-P880PRS is IMO classy and is a good SQ HU

DaCarlson 02-11-2009 10:47 PM

I do like... The chrome is nice. To bad they have that cheesey Premier logo on it! Makes it look like walmart! But very nice deck. Definatly consider that. Though for the price the Denon might be a better option.
