so i hooked up my kenwood x794. when the car is off and i can listen to my mp3 player or cd's. but once i turn the car on, it wont read cd's or my mp3 player but the radio will play. the only way to get it to start working again is to take out the fuse from the back of the deck. anyone know whats going on?

 

Double check your connections, especially the ground. Move it to bare metal if possible.

Past there, check your voltage when the car is on to see if it is unusually high.

Battery is easiest but at the deck would be fine too.
