Which deck to get? Alpine CDA-7893 or CDA-7894?

Which deck would you guys get? It will be going in an Acura 1.6EL Premium (silver w/black leather, black interior)
I can get the Alpine CDA-7893 for $340 CAN and the Alpine CDA-7894 for $375 CAN. Are these good prices or are they asking too much? (They’re brand new, never used)
When you convert an mp3 into a wav file does the sound quality sound the same as the mp3 format it was in before?
Also does anyone have any experience with either deck?
Alpine CDA-7893
Alpine CDA-7894

Those are good prices, I got my 7894 a few months back for $400+ taxes. I really like this deck, and for $35 more, why not go for the MP3 capability? It has good built in processing, like hp/lp crossovers, time-alignment, and a pretty beefy internal amp, although I am not using mine.
The wav. file takes the compressed MP3 file, and makes it sound closer to c.d. quality. If you want to burn MP3's to disc, they remain compressed, that is why you can get many many songs onto an Mp3 disc, compared to a c.d. format one. Hope this helps.

IMO the sound quality with be the same. When you rip a cd to get a MP3 then you lose quaility but when you convert it back the quality is already lost. Although the AUDIBLE difference you MIGHT not be able to hear. But there will be a loss. IMO go with the 7893 i think it looks way cooler and will match the interior. Just bye a CDRW and keep rewriting if you are worried about CDR cost.

D-50 do you mean that converting MP3 to wave will sound as bad as an MP3? I don't think so. It depends on the bitrate, but I have burnt tracks that sound almost as good, if not the same, as the original cd, and usually the MP3's sound flat in comparison. Both decks are sweet though, it comes down to what colours you like better, I find the 7894 to be a bit more low-key, appearance-wise...

Dude,
Get the 7894. Besides the MP3 adds on the blackout display and dual illumination. The amber buttons match the EL dash lights perfectly. Plus, your getting a sweet price for it.
Check:

if you want to see what it will look like.

I have the CDA-7893. I like it, it's really user friendly. I would go with the mp3 player but I don't have 120 songs that I like...but maybe you do. Either one you pick would be good.

7893 baby. It looks about 10 times better. The blue buttons go better with your red/blue dash lights/accessories.
MP3? Bah, who needs it. I have no more than 6 CD's that I want to listen to at a time, so I rotate those through the car when I want.

I just picked up the CDA-7893 for $249 (Tax included) @ A & B Sound. Just too damn good of a deal to pass up, despite it being a refurb ...
As for MP3, I don't need it ... I'll wait until hard drive head units are cheap, then I'll switch from a normal CD player ...
