Deck hunting
I just bought an 06 Outback. I am wanting to replace the factory deck with something that had ipod and the option for Sirius. I found the dash kit on Crutchfield for $21. A lot cheaper than Certified Radio. They wanted $100!!! Haha. Certified also only showed me one Clarion deck. The dxz575usb for $170.
BestBuy showed me the Alpine ida-x100. Looked nice. No CD but then I don't have any cd's anymore. Seemed like good ipod/iphone integration. They have it priced at $330 but Crutchfiled is $300. Any other ideas? Or suggestions? I am wanting to keep it under $300 for the deck. Also I was thinking of replacing the deck in my Xtrail as well. It is a double din. Not really wanting to spend the money on a dvd or nav system for the xtrail so I guess I will need to find a dash kit that will reduce to a single din. If that looks like crap I probably won't do that. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks |
If you want to keep a double din in your xtrail, check out the Kenwood DPX302.

First off, I suggest you think about what it is you are looking for in an aftermarket head unit/receiver - and compare it to what the OE HU does not have to offer.
If all you're lookin for is Sat Radio ready and iPod connectivity - then go with some Future Shop stuff like Pioneer DEH-P5900IB or the JVC KW-XG700 Plus I;m pretty sure you can haggle the sales reps for some sort of a discount - buy both HU at the same time |
I am trying to sell an AVIC-D3 with the ipod interface bluetooth module w/mic and navigation. Its 4 months old I have all the receipts.

Have you looked at the Kenwood products, they have what you are looking for for under $300.00
