Deck just bit the crapper... suggestions?

Ok I had a Pioneer deck for a while now, DEH P9600MP, and the micro processor on it just went according to the shop that has it. Since its a few years old the cost of repairing it doesn't make sense.
Since I am starting a fresh project now with my new car I guess there is no better time than the present to get a new deck.

I'm looking for some decent decks. I was in a shop and they were talking to me about the Premier DEHP880prs and it seemed pretty solid. But since my little issue with my Pioneer deck, and my friends Premier just crapped out on him after 6months I'm alittle leary of going with another Pioneer product.

I've heard that Alpine's new lineup is weak in comparison to the older stuff that they used to make also, which would have been my 2nd line of action.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
thanks guys

Jason

check out the kenwood excelon line, great decks for runing amps, lots of tuning options....not to many other decks really ever grab my attention, only other deck that I would consider buying right now is possible the JVC avx2.

Thumbs up

/\ I'll second the Excelon vote.....I have had 5 of them over the last few years.....3 in my work truck, where they get used 4,000 hours per year plus, and my wife's van, where they have to contend with the MP3 discs my daughter makes.....

The new ones out now have a ton of tuning and tweaking options, and the USB ports on the front are pretty handy......
