Demo Cars
I"d like to see a vehicle that whispers class, nothing that screams, but something that, when you look at it, draws you. I'd like to see a car so clean it begs you to look at it to see what makes it special enough to be in a show booth.
Something with hardwood, some tasteful lighting, and a gorgeously integrated SQ install.

Sex sells - end of story. You need show to have performance. Train these hot chicks (with my name on them - so back off get your own sandwich)to be knowlegeable in what they are selling, and I mean train them good. A hot chick that can sell is one of the most effective sales tools there is. A proper sales presentation with factual basis is what the customer is looking for and highly influences a buying decision.
These girls are there to first gain your attention to the vehicle (which 99% of the time is instantaneous for guys and girls). Next they are there to educate the looky loos to how good sound and install should be. After that her companion (duo act later) who knows performance will go into detail about the performance aspect of this sleeper car. End result is a crowd around this car all day. These girls are an integral part of the show car, not just an add on spoiler or underbody neons.

But what happens when the kid pays the big bucks for whatever and it sucks because the install or whatever was cheated on? Will he keep on buying or give up because he was lied too? You know what I mean. And picture by picture for an magazine would be cool. You know the discovery in the grampas barn car. The tow to the shop. What worked what didn't. Keep it real and like many have said resonable. Money may make the world go around but most of us don't have bags of it!
It's hard to say what will work or what won't. I'm of an old school. Personaly I don't care if you like my wheels or taste in paint! I did it because I like it. If you hang around long enough the world seems to conform to your taste. Well sometimes...we have to step out and bust the mold. Yes it's pain full but originality feels great. And it sells too!
I know bla bla bla

Is this for something you are putting together ?
I don't know man... If you are using mainstream gear and set it up properly.... you might as well still bling it up and get some blond booty out there...
That is what is going to sell most product...
If you are putting in high end stuff.. you probably dont need the flash cause the guys buying are going to be looking for funcion/reputation over form anyway....
What I would personally like to see in a demo car is extreme SQL. multiple 10midbass with 8midrange & 4" horns up front... 18" high exursion subs in a AP enclosure... ect....
Some neon/plexi/glass should definatly be used if thats what you want to use... I think everyone is just sick of people going way overboard with it....
Thats my $.02 anyway...

I think a stealth install in a 300c would be nice -- using sux's idea of panels which reveal plexi over components with lighting -- ie you look in the trunk... nothing is there... take off panels and voila!
