Did i just fry my amp?

So heres the story, i traded a buddy about $20 worth of stuff for a kenwood 4 channel amp that may or may not work. so i hooked it up to test it. the amp has a 25 amp blade fuse in it and i had a 15 amp fuse on the positive power wire. so heres the sad part. i hooked the amp up to pos instead of negative and vice versa and it immeditalty blew the 15 amp fuse on the power wire. im wondering if i cooked my amp, why it didnt blow the 25 amp fuse on the amp? and yes i tried brand new fuses all around with the correct power polarity and it wont turn on.

i did that with my 5K atomic and i was lucky enough the only thing that blew was the sodder connections between the terminals and the board. A friend of mine was able to sodder it back together. Might wanna check that out too.

i opened it up but i cant see any damage. Were your solder connections underneath the circuit board?

No it smelled fine but there is a silver cylander shaped thing I'm thinking its a. Capacitor that looks a little rounded at the top like there was pressure inside it
