Disabling Tweeter.

After getting my new tweets i'm finding that the ones in my door coaxial are a little too sharp for the new ones.. Is there a way to make it a midbass speaker only by simply doing something to the tweeter? and I don't mean simply destroying the tweeter

I suppose you could just cover them up with some kind of metal cap or block most of the output. That way you won't damage the speaker and could use them at a later date. Just a thought...
